Meet Mrs. K
My name is Mrs. Lindsay Klemish and this is my 15th year teaching First Grade at Valley View! I started out teaching Kindergarten... I then "graduated" to First Grade! I am married and live in Wallingford with my Husband (Mr. Kurt) and our 2 "boys": Bailey and Brogan and my B E A U T I F U L, inquisitive, silly, puppy loving daughter Miss Piper Grace (PGK)! She was born January 6, 2018. My boys, are yellow labs (not related) but do love each other very much! I enjoy spending time with my friends and family...baking...staying active...traveling...grabbing an iced coffee...decorating...shopping for classroom finds and going to Target!
I grew up in Cheshire, CT and went to Chapman School. I knew since I was a First Grader myself, that I wanted to be a First Grade Teacher! My First Grade Teacher, Mrs. Byrne's was amazing! I used to play school ALL the time at my house; if you look closely around the classroom, you will find some items from when I was 7 years old! (Some may even be older!)
I received my Undergraduate Degree in Early Childhood Education & General Psychology from Eastern Connecticut State University in Willimantic, CT. I finished my Master's in Reading and Language Arts at ECSU as well. While at ECSU, I played softball for the Warriors...in fact, I've played softball for 30 something years now! I love bringing that competitive spirit of teamwork, leadership, fun, and dedication right into the classroom.
